Heat shrinkable isolation tape HSTP
Heat shrinkable isolation tape is made of flame-retardant cross link polyolefins composition. Inner side of the tape has adhesive layer that melts during shrinkage providing sealing of insulating base.
Application: Heat-shrinkable tape HSTP is used for the wide range of applications, primarily for the partial restoration of damaged outer cover of electrical cables in cases of damage occurred as a result of mechanical impact, excessive heat, electrical breakdown, organic solvents and corrosion. The tape can be used for mechanical protection of construction elements subject to mechanical damage, corrosion, abrasion, in high-voltage power engineering for insulation and waterproofing of cables and switches connections, when installing high-voltage cable joints, etc. Under certain conditions the tape can be used for waterproof pipelines. Adhesive layer on the tape provides good sealing of surfaces.
Usage recommendations: During installation it is recommended to wrap the winding with overlap turn 2/3 of the width of the tape and gradual heating of the turns until the glue appears along the edge of the tape.
Package: in rolls 5m, 10m and 15m long, width 25mm and 50mm, packed in a plastic bag.
Storage: in clean, dry rooms in the supplier's packaging or in cardboard boxes, at a relative humidity of up to 70%, at temperatures from -10°C to +50°C, avoiding sudden temperature changes and exposure to direct sunlight. The distance to any heating sources should be at least 1 meter (without exceeding the maximum storage temperature). Storage conditions should exclude the influence of aggressive medium: acids, alkalis, fuels and lubricants, solvents, etc.
Certification: Not subject to mandatory certification
