FGA fiberglass acrylic isolation sleeve (cord stocking) with isolation coating based on acrylic polymer.
Brief description: Insulating sleeve (cord-stocking), braided from electrical non-alkaline glass fiber (E-glass) and coated (impregnated) with an insulating acrylic polymer, holding temperatures up to 155°C.
Application: Insulating fiberglass sleeve (cord-stocking) FGA is used for electrical insulation of internal wiring of stationary and moving machines and mechanisms, such as generators and their rotors, transformers, lighting equipment, electric heating devices, induction coils, household electrical appliances. This sleeve is classified as an insulating material with a heat resistance class "F." It has good electrical insulation properties, acceptable flexibility (it is the least flexible of all fiberglass-reinforced sleeves), good mechanical strength and abrasion resistance thanks to its acrylic material, and high resistance to various oils. FGA sleeve is recommended for use where electrical insulation properties combined with mechanical strength and vibration resistance at elevated temperatures are required. FGA sleeve is available in four variants of voltage.
Recommendations: Fiberglass sleeve FGA easily cut to the required length however, during cutting and installation, it may produce a small amount of glass dust, which may cause skin and respiratory irritation. When frequently handling FGA sleeve in industrial scale, it is highly recommended to use gloves and use respiratory protection with a mask or respirator. Because the fiberglass sleeve is woven, it may stretch slightly in both the longitudinal and transverse directions. Therefore, the sleeve diameter cannot be specified with perfect accuracy. The acrylic polymer used as an insulating coating is not waterproof, it can withstand only short-term contact with water and can gradually deteriorate with prolonged contact with a humid environment. Therefore, it is not recommended to use this sleeve outdoors, in places with high humidity, in contact with water or in equipment which interior is not protected from splashes or water-containing liquids. It is recommended to use the sleeve for insulating static electrical connections that do not require repeated bending during operation.
Package: Sleeve is supplied in spools of 25-200m (depending on diameter), can be packed in carton boxes and packaging film / bags.
Storage: in clean, dry rooms in the supplier's packaging or in cardboard boxes, at a relative humidity of up to 70%, at temperatures from -20°C to +50°C, avoiding sudden temperature changes and exposure to direct sunlight.
Shelf life: not less than 2 years from the supplier shipment date following the storage conditions.
Certification: Not subject to mandatory certification.
